Each step tears at my soul.
This journey is taking its toll,
though I’m pressing on for a glorious life or death.

Now I know at least, there’s no tether and no leash
It´s only me that holds me back, but I know I´m right on track
A platform from which to launch, soon I’ll be soaring high
Among my friends, among my peers, and the memories of years
so long forgotten
Oblivious to how I’ve yearned
Trapped inside, this broken figure, this fragment of a life.
Dwells a mind that seeks to break through, to fight another fight.
Reconstruction, calibration, I am ready to be off.
Whatever holds me in this prison, it is cruel and it is though.
Persistent and meticulous and patient I must be,
to climb this wall, avoid the fall, find the path that sets me free.

Kungens Väg

Som en av många närmar jag mig,
slottet där spelemän inställa sig.
För Kungen ska fira sin födelse
och kvällen ska bringa förödelse.
I slottets salar där ryktena går, att Kungen är stressad och drottningen svår,
hans ensamma värld snurrar runt och runt. Den stackarn ej sover, får inte en blund.
Men vägen jag går är en upptrampad stig och när dagen är slut dansar kungen för mig.
På ett uppdukat bord stapplar han över gås, han välter ut bägare, trampar i sås.
Och på drottningens skrud spiller han ut vin, när han dansar till toner från min mandolin.
Det var hopp ner i galen tunna, när för drottningens blick han blunda.
När dagen gryr vaknar han ej upp.
Vi en kvinnlig regent har tills barnen växt upp.
Sensmoralen är toners klang, kan få överherrar fall!
Men vägen jag går är en upptrampad stig och när dagen är slut sjunger jag för dig.
Om en Kung, om en Drottning, en gång.

Drottningens vakt är nu efter mig.
För se oaktsamhet, ja, det straffar ju sig!
